Traveling by motorhome with proper hygiene and sustainability is about much more than just moving from point A to point B. It is a way of discovering new places, connecting with the environment, and enjoying the road with absolute freedom. That is why we didn’t hesitate for a second to team up with Barvantia for the Geoactivity for Motorhomes and Campers in the Montañas do Courel UNESCO Global Geopark.
1. Barvantia: Organized Experiences for Motorhome and Camper Enthusiasts
Barvantia is a Galician company specialized in routes and getaways for travelers in motorhomes or camper vans, focusing on a sustainable, authentic, and meticulously planned approach. Although they are widely known for organizing experiences along the Camino de Santiago, their offer goes much further: small groups, expert guides, cultural visits, local gastronomy, and a pace that allows you to savor every single stop without rushing.
Traveling with them is synonymous with discovering a territory with purpose… and always with the comfort of your motorhome or camper van as your base camp. Discover more on their website: barvantia.com
2. What Was the Geoactivity All About?
From June 27 to 29, a group of travelers lived a unique experience exploring the Montañas do Courel Geopark (Lugo), a natural area declared by UNESCO that blends history, breathtaking scenery, and culture in every corner.
Each day highlighted a different area of the geoparque:
- Ribas de Sil: Roman mining history and local wine tasting.
- Folgoso do Courel: Waterfalls, heritage-protected villages, hiking routes, and traditional folk music.
- Quiroga: Open-air yoga, museum visits, local cuisine, and a final farewell to the experience.
All of this was organized with limited spots, because respecting the environment is a core part of the journey.
3. Hygiene and Cleanliness Powered by Ambiti
At Ambiti, we took care of something absolutely essential to guarantee a top-tier travel experience: hygiene and comfort inside each vehicle.
We prepared personalized welcome packs for all the participants, including single-dose samples of our black water waste tank fluids—featuring our pine-scented single-dose pods, which are ideal for keeping the vehicle perfectly hygienic. This way, nobody had to worry about tank maintenance during the trip… and everyone could focus entirely on what truly mattered: enjoying the journey.
Let’s be honest: if you are going to sleep among the mountains, practice yoga at sunrise, and toast with Galician wine… the least you can expect is for the cleanliness inside your vehicle to match the beauty of the surroundings, right?
4. Why Did We Join In?
Because this geoactivity represents everything we believe in:
- Responsible tourism.
- Pure, untouched nature.
- Comfort on wheels.
- Real, uncrowded experiences.
We are incredibly proud to have been a part of this edition. And if you are wondering… yes, we are already packing our travel kits for the next one!
